Singapore-based startup, H3 Dynamics, has recently partnered with leading communications brand, Avaya on a new solution for emergency response drone video communication. H3 Dynamics is best-known for offering fully autonomous stations for charging remote industrial asset and security drones. The company signed an agreement with Avaya to create a suite of real-time video analytics and video streaming solutions for government groups and emergency responders in Africa and the Middle East.

The integrated solutions were recently demonstrated at the Avaya ENGAGE event in Dubai. H3 Dynamics’ base station systems under the “Dronebox” label offer businesses access to intelligent field robots that can manage their own drone operations. These tools can be stationed at various locations, deploying cameras at a moment’s notice. Avaya’s IX workplace for calling, messaging, and conferencing will allow these intuitive drones to feed live drone footage from different locations and devices via secure conferencing tools.

Contact centres running the Avaya IX solution will be able to manage and remotely deploy drones in emergency situations with access to real-time video streams.

The combination of the technologies from both companies will help emergency responders in the Middle East and Africa to respond to incidents more efficiently. The enhanced Dronebox system is already being tested by numerous government authorities across the region. The solution has been embraced by a police service that uses reconnaissance drones to address traffic accidents and quickly deliver the right level of response to the situation.

According to the CEO and Founder of H3 Dynamics, Taras Wankewycz, the core technology blueprint translates well into various existing use cases. Because the H3 Dynamics solutions enable the automated deployment of drones, it’s easy to unlock rapid response times with minimal involvement from humans. The partnership with Avaya will help teams on the ground to get more information in emergency situations.

An Exciting Opportunity in Innovation

The VP of Hospitality, Intelligent Devices and Healthcare for Avaya International, Frederick Sabty, has said that the openness of the Avaya unified communications and contact centre portfolio technologies will enable the creation of cutting-edge use cases across the industry. Public organisations are no longer looking for standalone products; they need integrated solutions that meet with the challenges that they face every day.

The MoU between H3 Dynamics and Avaya represents an excellent opportunity to combine exceptional open communication tools with next-generation technology for next-level innovation.

Avaya Introduces New IX Subscription Program

Also introduced at the Avaya ENGAGE event in Dubai, the subscription solution will give customers a flexible way to access all the features they need for UC and CC growth. What’s more, Avaya IX Subscription also gives users the power to scale their consumption of the state-of-the-art UC and contact centre solutions from Avaya at a pace that suits their unique requirements. This fantastic new offering will enable customers to avoid some of the complexity typically involved with dealing with contract renewals and software licensing agreements.

The new IX program hopes to help business leaders spend more of their time focusing on growing their business, rather than worrying about renewals. Other benefits of the program include increased operational agility, reduced business risk, enhanced budgeting, and improved purchasing processes. Avaya IX Subscription also includes access to some of the latest software releases, and the freedom to increase the number of subscribed users at no extra charge. What’s more, every subscriber gets full support from Avaya’s award-winning services organisation.

According to Avaya’s Senior Director, Yaser AIlzubaidi, Avaya is striving to continue offering customers the widest range of possible choices for their deployment options. This means extending a subscription model for better on-premises communication infrastructures. Avaya’s IX subscription offering will also give today’s businesses a convenient steppingstone to leverage as they move to the cloud.

The Avaya IX subscription model highlights and optimises the flexibility in the Avaya solution, which is available to consume across a range of deployment models.

Trade-in and Upgrade Offers

Along with the announcement of the new Avaya Subscription program, the company has also announced the arrival of additional upgrade and trade-in offers for customers that want to extend and protect their current investments in Avaya communications tools. Clients will be able to trade in their existing licenses for credits to be applied to their subscription payments. Additionally, customers not running the latest Avaya software releases will be able to access the Experience Avaya Program for OneCloud or Avaya IX On-Premises.

Avaya IX Spaces, the powerful new cloud platform for team meetings and collaboration, will also be included with all IX Subscriptions. Launched in the Middle East at the Engage event, Avaya IX Spaces will help businesses to seamlessly integrate video, voice, tasks, file sharing, and more into a single unified solution that can be accessed instantly on any device. Avaya IX Spaces is perfect for teams in search of a simple and efficient mode of communication in an efficient environment.

The Avaya IX subscription solution is just one of the fantastic new developments to appear as part of the Avaya Engage conference this year.
