The move to the cloud is happening at an incredible pace. Businesses of all sizes are discovering the benefits that come with being dialled into a more flexible solution for communication and collaboration. However, that doesn’t mean that every company can move to the cloud in the same way or at the same pace.

Many mid to larger-sized enterprises struggle to switch to the cloud when they’re moving away from complex technology stacks and long-standing relationships with their carriers. Because of that, organisations end up shying away from digital transformation, believing that a cloud communications solution will limit their options for building a unique comms environment.

Now, Cisco, one of the market leaders in communication and collaboration tools, is introducing a new way for businesses of all sizes to make the move to the cloud. Webex Calling will now offer a BYOC (Bring your Own Carrier) option to modern businesses. This will allow brands of all sizes to avoid everything from early termination fees, to lost loyalty benefits.

Making Cisco Webex Calling More Flexible

2000px NTT_company_logoRecently, Cisco has been more committed than ever to making its communication stack as flexible as possible. We’ve seen evidence of this in the new integration between Cisco Webex Meetings and the Slack collaboration app, for instance. Now, Cisco is expanding its flexibility even further with the BYOC cloud-connected option for Webex Calling. This new offering for Webex Calling will mean that customers can benefit from an increasingly expanding selection of Global Cloud Connected PSTN partners. What’s more, companies can connect their calling plan of choice straight to the Webex environment.

Leading brands like NTT have already come on board as part of the new CCP program. According to the Senior Director of Cloud UC at NTT, Nicolas Coudret, the brand is thrilled to be part of an exciting new program and expand its work with the Cisco group.

Alongside the new BYOC CCP option, Cisco will be continuing to offer a BYOC Local gateway connectivity option for customers that want to procure PSTN services in a separate environment. This additional option will allow customers another way to buy Webex Calling with a PSTN service offered by carriers all over the globe. Customers searching for a single bill experience will be able to benefit from Cisco’s partnership with more than 30 of the world’s leading service providers too!

Explore the Cloud Your Way

For customers in the Cisco community that have multiple sites to explore, Webex Calling will also allow companies to choose their PSTN and carrier connection per site. This added flexibility will allow for a seamless and secure communication experience, regardless of the unique configuration that’s right for you.

Webex Calling ensures that businesses around the globe are free to enter into the PSTN agreements that are right for them, even if that means working with different providers at different branches. What’s more, any site can also be managed through the central Webex Control hub, regardless of its unique configuration.
