Leading suppliers in the world of mobile, voice, and data products across the UK, Gamma Communications has seen incredible growth over the last year. According to recent reports, the organisation has decided to raise its dividend after both revenue and profit saw significant expansion during 2017. Experts suggest that the successful financial year was the result of solid growth across the entire Gamma Communications portfolio.

During 2017, the pre-taxed profit for the company expanded at a rate of 22% all the way up to £26.4 million. This number compares to £21.6 million in 2016. What’s more, revenue also grew by 12% up to £238.4 million.

Gamma Proposes a Dividend Hike

Following the successful financial report, Gamma proposed a payout of £0.56 per share, which is an increase of 12% from the previous year. According to the Chief Executive Officer for the company, Bob Falconer, the decision was made because the business performed so admirably throughout 2017, with significant growth in the product range both from direct and indirect routes to market.

Gamma Communications’ Cloud PBX product “Horizon” is now in a fantastic position to become more competitive in the marketplace, and it continues to displace some of the more traditional on-premise solutions that organisations have relied on up until this point. As Gamma continues to develop their market growth, they hope to see similarly positive results in the years ahead.

Consistent Growth Throughout the Company

Falconer noted that data volumes have helped Gamma Communications to better serve their customers by allowing them to improve their mobile and fixed capabilities in the Comms market. What’s more, they believe that their development as a brand will be accelerated by the overarching marketplace shift towards cloud-based services and the need for remote working solutions.

In the public sector, Gamma has recently begun working with companies like MacMillan, the Financial Ombudsman, and itsu. According to the brand, the investments made into development have helped them to make numerous helpful product enhancements for their customers, which has driven greater satisfaction and sales for the company.

A Transformative Period for Gamma Communications

While the news is positive for Gamma right now, it’s worth noting that the company is undergoing a transformative period as they prepare to welcome a new boss to the ranks. After acting as CEO for 15 years, Falconer will be stepping down in May 2018 to be replaced by Andrew Taylor.

Despite this change, the company feels comfortable and confident about the months ahead. Chairman Richard Last noted that the brand has made several big investments in developing their products, which means that they should be in great shape for the rest of the year, and the foreseeable future.
