Vonage and SAP have announced an expansion of their collaboration to help bring agentic AI-driven experiences to enterprises worldwide.
βBy integrating Agentic AI and network APIs with SAP Business AI capabilities, we are providing businesses with tools to reimagine operations, improve customer experiences, and meet the growing demands of digitization,β
Seckin Arikan, Head of API, Vonage, said.
By combining their technology, the collaboration aims to create impact through intelligent, next-generation applications seamlessly integrated into existing workflows and systems.
Examining the Expanded Partnership
The collaboration sees SAP as the foundational platform with the SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP, integrating SAP Business).
Vonage will help elevate these capabilities with communications and network APIs that leverage Ericssonβs telecommunications ecosystem.
Focusing on pilot use cases and proof-of-concept (POC) demonstrations, the companies are teaming up with Accenture to showcase a POC that demonstrates a multimodal application of Agentic AI, integrated with Vonage APIs.
βThis collaboration with Vonage is a great example of how powerful AI agents will be able to handle multi-step processes, interacting with humans when there is the need and otherwise solving issues autonomously,β
Philipp Herzig, CTO and Chief AI Officer at SAP SE, said.
The integration aims to demonstrate how AI can amplify operational efficiency and customer experience through real-time network and communication-enabled insights.
Vonageβs network APIs are already used to give enterprises features like streamlined user authentication processes and network location capabilities.
This collaboration aims to further offer new features through APIs so enterprises can leverage the capabilities of AI and advanced network capabilities.
Integrating New Abilities Through APIs
Vonage has a history of using APIs to help integrate the newest AI features.
In 2024, Vonage partnered with Verizonβs network APIs to deliver 5G APIs to developers.
Equally, it partnered with AWS to merge ATIS CPaaS platform with Ericssonβs 5G network capabilities and the extensive suite of AWS services.
