A new year often sees organisations implement their plans, which is exactly what is happening at Voiceflex.

In a chat with UC Today, James Arnold Roberts, CEO at Voiceflex, revealed that the company in 2023 is targeting growth, boosting customer satisfaction, and driving automated services into the channel.

Arnold-Roberts said: “We’re looking at the market, looking at the opportunities, and looking at how do we use the heritage that we’ve got and deliver it into the new world of cloud-first applications.”

Growth

In recent months, we have seen thousands of layoffs right across the technology industry as organisations adjust to post-pandemic sales and a potential upcoming recession.

However, the story at Voiceflex is very different, as the company is looking to grow its revenue and expand further through potential acquisitions.

Arnold-Roberts commented: “The plan for the business over the next 24 to 36 months is to grow, and we’re going to be growing organically.

“We’ll be just shy of double-digit growth, probably coming out of this year, but then we’ll also look at potential M&A and driving that number for either additional revenue growth or to boost our technology stack.

“It’ll depend on what’s in the market, but it will be consistent with what we’re known for, which is channel only and delivering voice-centric applications.”

The UK is currently in the middle of a cost-of-living crisis which is having an impact on all individuals and organisations.

Some companies have adjusted their spending and made cuts to ensure they can weather the storm, and while growth is being planned at Voiceflex, Arnold-Roberts acknowledged that the company must get it right in the macroeconomic climate.

He added: “We need to make sure that we build at the right speed, and also that we put the time and effort into delivering the right applications that can enable us to grow.

“The key around growth is listening to our partner community because if we don’t listen and give them something that they can’t consume, we’re not going to grow at the speed that we need to.

“We also need to make sure that if we are growing, we’re doing it in a sustainable way.

“I don’t want to be going out and buying organisations just to keep the revenue increasing because it’s key that we acquire companies that have a similar ethos to us.”

Customer Portal

Voiceflex is setting its sights on boosting customer satisfaction, and it is planning on doing this by utilising its customer portal.

The portal allows the company’s reseller community to take and consume its API services first.

In doing so, Voiceflex can add value to its reseller supply chains and its overall propositions.

Voiceflex’s portal is designed to make it as easy as possible for its resellers to consume the services on offer, plus it can also be branded and white-labelled.

Arnold-Roberts aims to make Voiceflex the “Amazon of the voice marketplace” to ensure that resellers don’t need to look for other products elsewhere and can get everything they need from Voiceflex.

He said: “Everything can be consumed from the portal, and it’s slick and easy.

“We’re never going to be a big PS house, so it’s making sure that what we sell is simple, easy to consume and that we’re able to deliver on.”

Voiceflex’s portal is part of that plan to build up an ‘all-in-one’ voice marketplace, as the company is set to release its Portal V3 to allow API-first consumption.

Then the company is also looking to strengthen its software development team so it can move quickly with what the market demands.

Automation

In a previous conversation with UC Today, Voiceflex’s Chief Technology Officer, Nathan Ronchetti, highlighted that the rise in automated services will be a market trend that we will see throughout 2023.

This stemmed from a trend the company saw throughout 2022 that customers were happy to use automated bots wherever possible.

As a result, Voiceflex is looking to use AI to help integrate communication channels such as Facebook Messengers and WhatsApp into UCaaS platforms.

This was reaffirmed by Arnold-Roberts, who said: “Driving automation into the channel is critical.

“We need to look at how we drive automation through our business into our supply chain and then into our partner’s supply chain to make it easier to consume from us.”

The idea behind using automation is to ensure that the integration of features into different platforms can be seamless.
