Workplace from Meta has announced new products and feature releases for September.

The releases included new customisation functionality for Workplace admins and new courses in the Workplace Academy.

The online collaboration software tool, Workplace from Meta, provides monthly updates of its latest innovations.

New Insights and Customisation Options

Workplace has now introduced the capability for admins to export workplace integrations into CSV files.

The new functionality will allow admins to view usage data to see how their users are engaging with Workplace integrations.

This feature is only available on desktops and is located on the integrations page. Admins simply need to click ‘View insights’ to export their data and create a CSV file.

Admins can also customise their Knowledge Library home pages by choosing the collections and categories which they would like to include. Featured categories will replace the ‘Priority’ categories.

Admin Courses on Workplace Academy

Workplace Academy has been updated to include a more detailed summary of the Admin Panel.

An interactive tour has now been added to the Admin Panel, which provides help, advice on getting started, ways to extend Workplace, tips for increasing engagement, and safety and security features.

Admins can learn about the ‘Settings’ page and how to personalise Workplace with their company information, customised Workplace terms of use and rules, profile fields, and email domain verification.

The academy can also now show you how to create a Workplace admin team. This includes creating custom admin roles, learning the available out-of-the-box admin roles, and assigning admin roles.

Workplace from Meta is an all-in-one business communication platform, which combines a company’s intranet with video, chat, and groups, as well as the tools already in use at the company.

According to Statistica, Meta had 71,970 employees as of December 2021. Last year, Workplace announced it had reached seven million paid subscribers.

Workplace has recently released a study from Forrester Total Economic Impact, which found that organisations using Workplace can gain 207% ROI in three years.

Highlights of Workplace from Meta’s releases last month included new customisation functionality for Knowledge Library and a Draft For tab on the home menu.
