Singapore Airlines Limited (SIA) has announced a multi-year agreement with Tata Communications to enhance its communication and collaboration tools.

According to the UCaaS vendor, Tata Communications, its solutions will allow SIA users to connect and collaborate anytime and anywhere while improving employee productivity and user experience.

This initiative, which strengthens the lengthy association between the two companies, will be delivered via Tata Communications GlobalRapide.

Amitabh Sarkar, Vice President & Head of Asia Pacific and Japan – Enterprise, Tata Communications,  “We take great pride in our long-standing relationship with Singapore Airlines.

As a global CommTech player, we are privileged to be chosen as their partner in progress as they emerge stronger than ever and strive to create new benchmarks in customer experiences.”

MOVE

Furthermore, SIA’s pilot and cabin crew collaboration platforms are also powered by Tata Communications MOVE to keep crew continually connected around the world.

MOVE’s global intelligent cellular connectivity enables a fast and secure exchange of flight and passenger data on pilots and crew tablets.

By equipping pilots with connected electronic flight bag applications and cabin crew with electronic passenger lists, it makes adding updates easier and more efficient.

It also results in faster flight turn-around and greater on-time performance while unlocking meaningful cost savings versus traditional data roaming solutions.

Tata Communications’ aviation services bring together connectivity through local access and sponsored roaming agreements to offer secure and reliable cellular connectivity across 200 countries and territories.

MOVE offers a range of Internet of Things (IoT) solutions for aviation, supply chains, industry, and the automotive sector.

GlobalRapide

GlobalRapide is a managed service for migration, end-to-end management, and automation of Unified Communications-as-a-Service (UCaaS) estates.

Benefits of GlobalRapide include quick deployment, simplified management, an improved user experience, as well as being secure and compliant – according to Tata Communication.

The vendor also states that it can deliver an 80 percent improvement in ROI and adoption, a 30 percent cost saving and that 96 percent of its solution experts are Microsoft-certified.

In June 2023, Tata Communications published a case study showing how GlobalRapide had enabled an “international food giant” with 116 sites to migrate to Microsoft Teams in just 120 days.
