Tango Networks has partnered with Cisco to deliver Tango Extend For Webex Calling, a native mobile comms solution for Cisco Certified Mobile Calling Providers.
Tango Extend for Webex Calling is pitched as empowering Cisco partners in the Cloud Connect for Webex Calling program to bolster their offerings with Mobile Unified Communications, refining efficiency, productivity, and collaboration.
With Webex Calling Professional licenses now including Webex Go entitlements, both businesses stress that Cisco’s Certified Mobile Calling Providers can offer and provision Tango Extend mobile services and plans to over 16 million Webex Calling users, expanding the reach and functionality of their solutions.
Amey Parandekar, Vice President of Product Management at Cisco, commented:
By partnering with Tango, Cisco is leveraging our Cloud Connect for Webex Calling partners and building a worldwide ecosystem of partners that offers both fixed-line and mobile plans with Webex Go. The phone number management and eSIM provisioning is done in Webex Control Hub, empowering enterprises to serve a greater number of hybrid and frontline workers and meet the demand for mobile collaboration alongside our other collaboration products.”
The initial six Certified Mobile Calling Providers launching the service are AudioCodes, CallTower, NTT, Nuwave, BCM One PureIP, and Tata Communications. Both companies outline that Tango Extend for Webex Calling leverages eSIM technology to seamlessly integrate a Webex business line into any smartphone, including BYOD personal phones.
This intends to allow users to utilise their phone’s native dialer to make calls and send texts using either an existing or new Webex business number, enhancing convenience and flexibility for modern mobile communications.
“We are thrilled to unlock these important benefits for Cisco’s Certified Mobile Calling Providers,” added Lee Essex, SVP of Sales & Marketing at Tango Networks. “This launch provides new routes to market for Webex Go and underscores our shared vision of enabling mobile solutions in the market. It also ensures seamless, secure, and high-quality communication experiences for enterprises of all sizes wherever they do business.”
More Information On Tango Extend For Webex Calling
Tango’s eSIM technology seeks to enable users to add a separate business line to any device, creating distinct business and personal identities on the same phone. This ensures personal communications remain secure and separate while allowing users to carry a single device for both business and personal use.
Cisco’s partners can also leverage Tango Extend’s mobile service’s global reach and simplify international billing. The Global Pass tariff plan offers mobile voice, text messaging, and data across 16 “Home” countries, with in-bundle roaming available in an additional 23 “Home Away” countries. This service provides centralised single-currency billing and inclusive roaming for enterprises with international offices or frequent travellers, removing the risk of unexpected roaming charges and streamlining global comms.
Tango Extend for Webex Calling aspires to deliver business calling features directly to mobile phones, eliminating the need for a separate app. Tango Networks and Cisco say that the solution is particularly valuable for frontline, deskless, and hybrid workers in industries such as delivery, retail, transportation, logistics, and in-home services.
What Else Has Tango Networks Been Up To This Year?
In March, Tango Networks unveiled Global Pass, an enhancement of Tango Extend.
The Tango Extend eSIM service enables seamless integration of any subscriber’s smartphone with their company’s UC platform, ensuring smooth and efficient business communication for remote employees, frontline staff, deskless workers, and hybrid teams.
With the introduction of Global Pass, subscribers gain access to a unified fixed-rate business mobile service across 14 “Home” countries, along with seamless roaming capabilities in 25 “Home Away” countries across Europe and North America.
Meanwhile, in July, Evolve IP and Tango Networks partnered to launch Anywhere Mobile, a new solution empowering enterprise mobile users.
Anywhere Mobile integrates desk phone functionalities directly into personal mobile devices, advancing Evolve IP’s “work from anywhere” initiative. Developed in partnership with technology provider Tango Networks, this service empowers Evolve IP EMEA partners with greater device flexibility, supporting a robust BYOD culture across diverse industries.
