Envoy has announced it has completely rebuilt its Actionable Analytics to improve its analytics experience and help companies measure the success of their RTO mandates.

“People are wasting an awful lot of money with empty offices sitting around symbolically as a commitment to a particular city, yet the employees maybe go in zero to one days a week,”

Larry Gadea, Founder and CEO of Envoy, said.

This launch includes a set of new and redesigned dashboards with interactive data visualizations—focused on occupancy, attendance, desks, rooms, visitors, and workplace deliveries.

Analyzing RTO

Companies are beginning to make the decision to bring workers back to the office after the remote work ushered in by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Whether it is full time or part time, RTO mandates are experiencing issues. One issue is keeping track of staff attendance.

This is not only to make sure that company policy is being fulfilled, but because many companies downsized offices during the pandemic, they need to understand attendance to plan schedules to make sure everyone has a workspace.

“In an era of cost-cutting and efficiency-seeking in business, it’s nothing short of wild to be ignoring such egregious waste,” Gadea said.

“Either make your RTO policy clear and leverage the efficiency of a human-centric and collaborative in-office culture, or close down that absurdly expensive office and get back that money. What we’re launching today will help you with either.”

Actionable Analytics aims to give companies oversight by providing informed, data-driven decisions about workplace occupancy, employee attendance, space utilization, and more to help automate and facilitate workplace operations.

It simplifies the issue of fragmented data and inconsistent reporting by providing a unified experience across dashboards, consistent charting across global and location levels, and the ability to export, segment, and drill into data directly within the platform.

With this new launch, Envoy is introducing:

Six rebuilt dashboards: Occupancy, attendance, desks, rooms, visitors, and deliveries—all redesigned to include consistent charts, new filters, and accessible insights across both global and location levels.

Strategic Insights dashboard: This new dashboard brings together cost per square foot, office attendance, meeting room utilization, and other data inputs to surface tailored recommendations around consolidation, repurposing, or expansion. It’s designed to help companies maximize the efficiency of their spaces.

Interactive filtering and data exploration: Users can slice data by department, floor, booking source, visitor type, and more. They can drill into peak hours, no-show rates, desk utilization trends, and employee-to-desk ratios—without needing typical analyst support.

Customizable dashboards: Admins can configure dashboards to show what matters most to their business—whether that’s top hosts for visitors, average meeting durations, or cost per desk.

New export options and reporting workflows: Export data into CSV, Excel, JSON, PNG, or PDF. Schedule recurring email reports to execs with up-to-date attendance and occupancy data.

RTO Mandates at Play

RTO mandates are a hot topic currently, as many companies are pressing employees to come into the office following a period of remote work.

One of the most famous examples is Amazon, whose RTO mandate began at the beginning of this year and has asked staff to return to the office full-time.

This mandate has been met by some employees with hostility, with some “task masking” as a way to shield inactivity or to protest against the push.
