Theta Lake has announced the launch of its AI Governance and Inspection Suite, a comprehensive solution designed to help enterprises manage the compliance risks associated with AI-generated content in unified communications platforms like Microsoft Teams and Zoom.

As AI tools become increasingly integrated into workplace communication platforms, organizations face new challenges in ensuring compliance and data security. The proliferation of AI-generated meeting summaries, chat responses, and voice interactions has created a complex landscape for compliance teams to navigate.

“With AI now embedded across platforms like Teams and Zoom, enterprises are grappling with the sheer volume and complexity of communication data,”

Said Garth Landers, Director of Global Product Marketing at Theta Lake. “Our new suite provides the necessary tools to capture, monitor, and manage this data effectively.”

Addressing the Compliance Challenges

The AI Governance and Inspection Suite offers direct integrations with Microsoft Copilot and Zoom AI Companion, enabling organizations to capture AI-generated content directly from the source. This approach ensures that all communications, including those generated by AI, are subject to the same compliance standards as traditional communications.

Key features of the suite include:

  • Note Taker Detection: Identifies unsanctioned AI tools and bots participating in meetings.

  • Risk Detection: Automatically flags sensitive or confidential information in AI-generated content.

  • Policy Enforcement: Allows organizations to set and enforce compliance policies across multiple platforms.

“The increasing volume of AI-generated content poses a risk to enterprises who cannot capture or monitor it with traditional communication compliance tools,” said Dan Nadir, Chief Product Officer at Theta Lake. “Our new governance and inspection tools provide an innovative approach to identifying gaps in compliance coverage and allow companies to confidently enable Copilot and AI Companion while still meeting regulatory obligations.”

A Unified Approach to Multi-Modal Compliance

With voice, video, chat, and AI-generated records now part of the enterprise UC stack, compliance teams need tools that provide consistent oversight across all communication modalities.

“Organizations need a unified tool to handle all modalities of communication,” Landers emphasized. “Our suite provides that unified approach, ensuring consistent compliance across voice, video, and chat.”

This message comes at a time when Microsoft Teams has just introduced screen transcription features—closing a major blind spot in meeting summaries and raising the bar for comprehensive communication governance. It’s yet another signal that the enterprise communications landscape is evolving rapidly, and compliance tools must keep pace.

Innovation at Speed

Theta Lake continues to demonstrate a strong cadence of product innovation. Earlier this year, the company launched over 100 new capabilities aimed at enhancing compliance and risk management across the UC stack. The new AI Governance and Inspection Suite builds on that momentum by addressing one of the most urgent and complex compliance challenges of the AI era.

“We’re not just keeping up—we’re leading the way,” added Landers. “This suite enables organisations to transform AI-enhanced collaboration from a liability into a competitive advantage.”

As enterprises face growing regulatory pressure and an accelerating pace of UC innovation, Theta Lake’s newest solution offers a timely and powerful answer to one of the most pressing risks in digital collaboration.
