We wrapped up another week of UC Summit, and if you missed it, you missed a good one. However, most of the Summit’s content is available on-demand following the event. Last week’s focus was Collaboration, with the Summit hosting some heavy hitters in the world of collab.

Rob Scott, UC Today Publisher, kicked things off in his official welcome to the second week of the Summit. “Hindsight is a wonderful thing,” he noted, and Rob further spoke about the importance of communications and collaboration, along with how much it shifted in 2020 – telling event-goers:

“In 2020, we catapulted into the future of work, video conferencing became the new voice, ‘virtual’ became the new work style, and ‘anywhere’ became the new workplace”

You can catch the rest of Rob’s introduction speech here.

You also missed several powerhouse keynote sessions, including ones from Cisco and GoTo. Amy Peck, Founder/CEO, EndeavorXR, presented one of many keynote sessions called ‘Global Collaboration in XR – Changing How we Work Together.’ Vaughan Klein, Sales Director, EMEAR, Cisco, focused on what he called a ‘Blueprint for the Hybrid Workspace,’ and Kevin Ryder, Chief Marketing and Product Officer, IR, took us forward in time – hosting a session called ‘The Future of UCC: Success in 2021 and Beyond.’

Paul Gentile, Senior Director, Product Marketing, GoTo, and Troy Jensen, Senior Manager, Global Accounts, Shure, also made appearances on this year’s virtual stage.

Even though you missed the keynotes, there is still tons of on-demand content available.

Here is what you can still access in the virtual Summit if you are interested in collaboration:

  • The Rise of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning – from the Bedroom to the Boardroom
  • Creating ‘Anywhere’ Digital Workplaces For for the Future
  • Building Forward with Confidence
  • Shouldn’t Video Conferencing Be Easy and Simple for the User?

  • Choosing the Best Work from Home Tech
  • Leaving the Box Behind: Elevated Software Solutions Provide more Control with Less Surface Area
  • Planning for Hybrid Meeting Rooms
  • One Thing is Certain for the Future of Collaboration: Clear, Consistent Audio is a Must
  • Video Conferencing and Cloud Comms: Our Hybrid Office Future
  • Anywhere Work – Optimizing Hybrid Working

  • The Journey to a Hybrid Workspace
  • Cloud Transformation in the New Normal

There is a session I would like to highlight. Hosted by Zoom’s Global Deputy CIO, Gary Sorrentino, he chronicled what we’ve endured for the past 11 months noting that

“Companies and employees are looking to the future by taking lessons learned from the pandemic and incorporating positive changes that have already been implemented”

He said – over the past 11 months employers, employees, producers, and consumers have all modified the way they work as well as how we consume products and services – offering tips on how to move forward with confidence. This session is still available.

Thinking about attending this week? Well, you’re in luck. We’ve got another jam-packed week of industry-tailored content geared toward customer experience (CX) professionals. Things are already underway – but you are not too late to tune in. What can you expect from this week’s sessions? Representatives from Avaya, Genesys, Voxbone (now Bandwidth), and our own Rob Scott will be featured this week.

Here is a summary of what’s been, and what’s to come at UC Summit 2021.
