Lifesize Delivers Enhanced Cloud Features

Global innovator in video collaboration and conferencing solutions, Lifesize, recently announced the arrival of various new product enhancements to support better customer experiences. The features are intended to give clients more choice and control when it comes to picking how they work together and communicate within the Lifesize platform.

As video conferencing needs evolve, the Lifesize platform is transforming to deliver a more consistent and engaging experience across every platform.

Convenient Mobile, Web and Desktop Experiences

Recent improvements to the Lifesize mobile app include the introduction of new screen sharing solutions from mobile devices. This will allow field workers and distributed teams to collaborate on content wherever they are, with the option to use the Lifesize mobile app in dark mode.

For desktop and web users, Lifesize is offering an add-in that allows users to directly schedule video meetings and issue one-time invites through Microsoft Outlook. Users can also quickly connect with their Office 365 or G Suite calendars to view upcoming meetings within the desktop and Lifesize web apps, receiving notifications when meetings are going to begin that allow joining with a single click.

For easier access to one-click meetings on PC and Mac devices, the desktop app launchers for Firefox, Chrome, and Safari are also available to access with existing launchers for Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer. When clicking a link through one of those browsers, the Lifesize launcher will automatically open the app to start the meeting.

Enhanced Admin Controls

Lifesize is also bringing new configurable controls into the recently upgraded Admin Console, allowing administrators to adjust their meeting invitations to suit their needs. This simplifies the process of scheduling and managing meetings for guests and users alike. Admins can even choose to provide a single link to click-to-join or configure invites to include a joining options via Skype for Business too. There’s also the option to hide room systems, meetings, or users from the full directory when necessary for privacy purposes.

The new selection of upgrades to the Lifesize mobile, web, and desktop features will help to make video collaboration and communication more convenient by:

  • Granting administrators more control: You can adjust the nature of your invite to suit your needs, with PTSN call-in phone numbers from multiple countries, paths to join via Skype for Business, and more, all through basic buttons in the Admin console
  • Delivering more straightforward ways to initiate and join calls: Whether you’re using a desktop or mobile device, or entering via a web browser, G Suite integration, Microsoft Outlook, or Office 365 environment, joining and creating meetings with Lifesize is easier than ever
  • Better content sharing: Allow for group meetings with up to 300 active participants at once, sharing screens or content with participants from any mobile device that runs the Lifesize app
