Crestron has appointed Midwich as a distributor for its unified communications and collaboration products in the UK and Ireland.
The vendor’s portfolio includes hybrid work-targeted Creston Flex, as well as a range of devices from phones to meeting room products.
Jose Gonzalez, VP of global distribution at Crestron, said:
“Midwich’s expertise and value-added set of services within the UC&C market has grown from strength to strength since the pandemic and, as a result, we feel we have a great partnership with them to deliver integrated Crestron Meeting Room solutions to the market.”
The addition of Crestron builds on Midwich’s existing portfolio of collaboration vendors, which includes Poly, DTEN and Shure. In September last year, this roster was expanded to include Yealink.
Earlier in 2022, Midwich announced the acquisition of fellow distie Nimans.
Ross Floyd, Commercial Director of Midwich UK&I, said: “As hybrid work continues, achieving equitable meetings in video conferencing is crucial to ensure all participants have an equal experience.
“The Crestron Flex range is compatible with various devices and software platforms, offering flexibility and ease of use across meeting spaces of different sizes and locations, addressing the challenges posed by physical distance.
“Adding Crestron’s UC&C range to our portfolio expands our capacity to assist customers in exploring innovative products and delivering comprehensive solutions that align with their end users’ needs.”
New Products
Crestron has revealed a host of new products this year, with a specific aim to boost productivity in the age of hybrid work.
This includes the Crestron Desk Q and Desk Touch, which augment the existing Crestron Digital Workplace Portfolio. Desk Q streamlines desk scheduling through QR-code-based reservations, catering to community workstations, hot desks, and hoteling. Desk Touch, on the other hand, is tailored for semi-private offices, cubicles, and stand-up spaces, delivering an intuitive scheduling experience aimed at creating a more productive office environment.
Meanwhile, Crestron Flex Pods offer tabletop wireless microphone and speaker solutions. These devices address the need for adaptable and scalable audio technology in hybrid meetings without requiring fixed in-ceiling microphones or speakers.
Also announced was the Crestron Videobar 70, an all-in-one collaboration bar engineered to deliver a complete meeting experience for Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, and BYOD services.
Later in the year at ICE, Crestron launched its new wireless touchscreen controller.
