A global leader in the area of network and enterprise communications, Mitel recently announced that they would be expanding their team with the appointment of Todd Abbott. Abbott is a seasoned industry leader in the world of business communications, and a long-standing executive with more than thirty years of experience in the realms of business and technology. From this point onwards, he will be entrusted with overseeing the global operations for sales at Mitel.

Located in Dallas, Abbott will be expected to report to the CEO of Mitel, Rich McBee, and his task as an EVP will be to assume executive responsibility over the company’s enterprise and cloud sales organisations, as well as their channel programs.

Mitel Continues to Expand its Market

The latest development comes as part of Mitel’s progressive strategy to expand its base of consumers as new technologies and applications, and market consolidation solutions continue to evolve the landscape. The current Vice president and chief sales officer for Mitel, Graham Bevington, will be moving forwards into a new role as the executive vice president for business development within the business. Graham will be expected to work directly with the CEO in an attempt to drive the company’s funnels and M&A strategy. Additionally, he will focus on nurturing new strategic partnerships with business customers and large enterprises.

Abbott is arriving at Mitel after an expansive career that spans a number of senior sales positions at Symbol technologies, Cisco, Avaya, Seagate technologies, and Sonus Networks. Because he’s lived and worked in various organisations across Europe and Asia, Todd will also be bringing significant experience to the position when it comes to the task of developing global markets. Mitel’s unique ability to provide customers with a seamless path towards the future should be a key to success for the business.

Cloud enabled collaboration and communication are now central to digital transformation in the enterprise, and Mitel is in a great position to ensure that organisations continue to boost productivity and drive revenues. According to Abbott, he’s delighted to be a part of the businesses’ ongoing success.
