Evocom is a German software company that provides solutions for digitalisation and productivity. It caters to several leading companies in Europe and around the world, in addition to being a preferred digital transformation partner in its region. Its solutions and services are built on the principles of design thinking, and agile and lean processes. Evocom Productivity is the company’s turnkey platform that allows you to orchestrate complex transformation projects and visualise processes for a digital future.

Importantly, the Evocom Productivity app integrates with your existing applications and tools, both on-premise and on the cloud, to fetch data for project management. It also drives simple workflow automation to streamline productivity. It achieves all of this through a low-code interface that can be implemented both as a standalone product or via optional connectors with Teams and the Microsoft Power platform.

The Evocom Productivity app for Teams lets you, monitor, visualise, and optimise ongoing processes, tasks, and projects directly from the Teams interface. You will need a full-scale Evocom Productivity license, and a properly set up portfolio of projects, tasks, etc. Evocom is a paid tool, starting at €20.91 for up to 50 users. It gets increasingly more affordable as you scale, with pricing as low as €5.36 per user if you have up to 1500 employees. Let us discuss the key features of this app for Teams users in more detail.

Inside Evocom for Teams

As mentioned, the Evocom Teams app acts as an extension to the primary product platform. Therefore, you’ll need to procure a license in sync with your company size, set up the necessary configurations, and integrate with enterprise applications, to fetch project data. Once this is done, you can directly download the Evocom Teams app from Microsoft AppSource to keep a watch on open action items without having to switch tools. Here are the key features that the app has to offer:

  • Task visualisation in swim lanes – When you open the Evocom app in Teams, you’ll find three tabs right on top – Tasks, Processes, and Process templates. Click on Tasks to view all the action items associated with your user profile. You can filter tasks to show only the ones assigned to you, by the due date, type, status, team, or the person who allocated the task. Each task card is richly populated with details, such as start and end dates, a list of associated stakeholders, comments, and attachments. Interestingly, you can not only add new tasks from the Evocom Teams app, but you can also link them with an ongoing process using hashtags.
  • Process analysis – The Evocom Productivity app makes it easier to analyse your organisation’s ongoing processes from Teams. Simply click on the Process tab on top of the app and you will be presented with a colour-coded chart depicting all the processes in which you are involved. You can conduct further analysis through dashboards, retrieve information from folders, and so on. Evocom also supports back-end integration of processes with the relevant enterprise systems – e.g., sales processes with CRM and supply chain processes with ERP.
  • Easy to use process templates – Evocom Productivity comes with its process templates, and you can choose to create new ones as per your enterprise needs. Click on the Process templates tab on top of the Evocom app window in the Microsoft Teams interface. You will be presented with a visualisation of your entire process landscape, with the option to define micro-processes for each high-level function.
  • Multiple visualisation options – You can view data on the Evocom Productivity app in several ways, depending on the type of analysis and insight necessary. For example, you can view ongoing processes either as a graphical chart to compare performance. Or, you can choose to view a process flowchart explaining the hierarchical relationship between different process components.
  • Workflow optimisation through Power Automate – This optional feature allows technically proficient users to automate recurring processes through Microsoft Power Automate.

Why the Evocom App Makes a Difference

The biggest advantage of using Evocom is that it provides you with a high-level yet comprehensive and detailed understanding of the process landscape at your organisation. And, you can act on the insights to bring about real-world business outcomes.

What We Think

Evocom can be a game-changer for large, distributed companies where it is difficult to achieve a single pane of visibility into process completion and performance. Its pricing model also makes it uniquely suitable for scaling – download the app here.
