Bamboo Technology Group has extended its managed services business with the acquisition of TechTeam, a provider of cloud and connectivity services.

TechTeam focuses on the small to mid-market customer segment for its services.

Since the acquisition of Tech Op Solutions in May 2019, Bamboo says it has successfully transitioned from its routes in telecoms service provision to being a provider of ICT managed services.

Tech Op specialised in the SME sector and the public sector, and its vendor partners included Microsoft, HP Inc and Sophos.

Bamboo says the latest acquisition is “key” to expanding its managed service provider (MSP) footprint. TechTeam’s main technology partners are Microsoft, Apple, HP and Cisco.

“I welcome TechTeam to the Bamboo family,” said Bamboo CEO Lorrin White.

“Coupled with their experience, energy and enthusiasm, this latest acquisition promises to be a game changer for Bamboo”

TechTeam Founder and CEO James Green added: “The team and I have put our hearts and souls into building a successful, customer centric IT managed services business. We are looking forward to working with Bamboo to create opportunities for growth and development in products, services, customer base, skills-sets and careers.”

TechTeam’s existing operations will continue as they are for now, as they are integrated into the Bamboo group over the coming months.
