Microsoft announced several new updates to Teams Phone at this month’s Ignite, including compelling AI-powered Copilot features and that Teams Phone’s SIP Gateway is now compatible with Analog Telephony Adaptors.
Copilot in Teams Phone leverages AI to enhance users’ productivity in the service, including automating less critical tasks and identifying key discussion points and next steps. Teams Phone supports VoIP and PSTN dynamics and is now generally available as included in the Copilot for Microsoft 365 license.
Teams Phone’s SIP Gateway also now works with Analog Telephony Adaptors from AudioCodes, Cisco, and Poly, enabling the use of Teams Phone in elevator phones, door openers and other unique analogue devices.
GTT and Zoom Phone also partnered to offer enhanced voice solutions for businesses.
GTT’s SIP Trunking customers now have access to Zoom Phone’s Bring Your Own Carrier (BYOC) services with a more streamlined process following the addition of Zoom Phone Provider Exchange capabilities. The partnership between GTT and Zoom allows GTT customers to utilise the self-service means of Provider Exchange and integrate GTT as their voice provider within the Zoom Phone platform.
