Multi-award-winning collaboration company, Nureva, recently announced a new addition to their Span Workspace solution. Nureva specialises in creating state-of-the-art solutions for team integration, bringing together dispersed employees from around the globe. The brand’s new “Follow Me” service for Span workforce will draw the concentration of distributed teams towards a specific area of the Span canvas during real-time collaboration sessions.
When users turn follow me on, the leading participant’s canvas is shown to every participant in the group, allowing teams to follow along as the leading participant moves across the canvas. Anyone in the canvas can turn the feature on and get control of the team’s view, either from a personal device, or the Nureva wall system. With “follow me,” participants will still have the opportunity to continuing contributing content to their canvas, and they can stop following the leader if they need to.
The Span Workspace and “Follow Me”
Span Workspace offers a large and immersive cloud-based canvas for creative collaboration in the business environment. It allows users to share and create ideas from their personal devices. What’s more, you can also interact with content directly from your Nureva interactive wall system.
The “follow me” feature is designed to support collaborative work sessions with remote and distributed teams when individual employees might need to take control of the discussion and ensure that everyone is on the same page. For instance, in a facilitated collaboration session, follow me could allow leaders to switch between presentation and brainstorming activities easily while holding the attention of participants.
There are plenty of useful visual cues included in the “follow me” experience to guide the experience for participants and demonstrate what the leader is doing. Participants can also see who is leading the session at the top of their screen.
When Will Follow Me Be Available?
Nureva showcased their “follow me” feature as part of their demonstration booth at InfoComm this year. According to the team, the feature will be available as part of the Span Workspace in July, and it will be accessible at no additional charge. As long as you have your Span Workspace subscription, you’re set.
Nancy Knowlton, the CEO of Nureva announced in a press release that she believes the Span Workspace’s new feature will help today’s teams to maintain the focus of dispersed employees. The “Follow me” solution ensures that remote participants can be engaged in a brand-new way so that everyone in a group can work more effectively together.
