But while desk-based workers have had their working lives revolutionised by collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, frontline workers have typically not had access to the same functionality over communication platforms. Here’s how FAR Networks partnered with enterprise mobility solutions provider Spectralink to revolutionise Arca Etichette’s workforce collaboration.
Building on strong foundations
Arca specialises in self-adhesive labels and systems for labelling and marking. Like many production businesses, the company’s premises house both an industrial site and an office building, with communication between the two one of the business’s major priorities.
For years, the company has utilised Spectralink’s suite of enterprise-grade DECT devices, supported by FAR Networks, a system integrator with extensive experience in the development of networks and business collaboration tools. But Arca was always on the lookout for new ways of improving its operations through closer collaboration.
That’s why when FAR suggested that Arca streamline its hardware and systems through Spectralink’s native Microsoft Teams integration, the company leapt at the opportunity.
Revolutionising commucations
“The integration of our DECT Spectralink devices with Microsoft Teams means that it’s finally possible for everyone in the business – including our production site staff and those on the move within the company – to communicate with the same ease,” said Paolo Sala, ICT Administrator for Arca Etichette.
Arca began its implementation process in September 2022, and within a month its entire suite of DECT devices had been integrated with Microsoft Teams. The company is already reaping the benefits, with frontline workers able to quickly share their status and arrange call backs, and office workers able to better manage workflows in the production site.
“Everyone’s productivity has increased and so has staff satisfaction because we are now able to collaborate and manage production activities in a more transparent, immediate way,” adds Sala. “Six years on from the purchase of our hardware devices and with just a change of license, we’ve been able to upgrade seamlessly to a modern system that is completely integrated with our communication and collaboration platform of choice.
