It’s not a great start for telecoms resellers in Britain when vendors announce price increases in the first few days of January.

It’s rumoured that a number of major UC vendors have already imposed price increases due to Brexit by as much as 15%. The 15% reflecting the full decline in the UK currency position.

Unified Communications vendor Avaya already trades with UK resellers in USD so prices are always bouncing about on a monthly basis, thus Avaya resellers naturally felt the economic pinch much earlier on.

However for vendor Mitel who has kept their prices fixed throughout 2016, Mitel partners have just this week received notice of an 8% increase from February 1st 2016. So if you’re planning on buying a Mitel phone system in the future you may want to place your order by the end of January 2016.

Other vendors like ShoreTel, Unify and Cisco, Samsung, Panasonic yet to hike their prices up but it won’t be long now that Avaya and Mitel have started.

Which tech giants have increased their prices post-brexit?
