UC Today were media partners for UC EXPO 2019, the UK’s biggest communication and customer experience focused event, to bring you interviews with all the industry’s biggest names.

Presenter Patrick is joined by Praful Shah, Chief Strategy Officer at RingCentral.

Initially Patrick and Praful discuss digital transformation. Digital Transformation, or DX, is an overused phrase but Praful explains why it is incredibly important to RingCentral customers and how RingCentral’s understanding of the process is radically different from other providers within the market. Being able to truly transform digitally relies on the close integration of different technology systems and this, as Praful explains, is why RingCentral’s portfolio is becoming so successful.

Patrick then asks Praful about the state of the unified communications market in general. There are a lot of mergers and acquisitions, there has also been talk recently of further consolidation with some of the more legacy vendors struggling. Praful believes that legacy vendors are struggling because they do not have a true cloud native solution set and trying to transform their portfolios is more difficult than they might have anticipated. Praful doesn’t expect the legacy vendors to be able to keep pace with market and cloud communications specialists, like RingCentral, and predicts that many of the biggest names may disappear completely over the next decade.
