Slack is seeing a wealth of opportunities from customers of Salesforce following the completion of their merger, UK boss Stuart Templeton has told UC Today.
Salesforceβs acquisition of Slack was announced at the end of last year, before being completed in July.
βI think weβre bringing together two really innovative organisations and weβve got a huge opportunity to make sales teams and marketing teams more effective,β he said.
βThereβs a lot of excitement, both internally and with our customers, in the Slack-first customer 360, bringing Salesforceβs products into the Slack experience and really bringing the power of Customer 360 into channels.
βOne of the great things is weβre now part of a bigger organisation with a great deal of mindshare, and hence theyβre opening up all sorts of customer opportunities for us.β
The combined company has since given glimpses of how the integration will take shape which, at a high level, culminates in the Slack-First Customer 360 platform.
Within this, there are use cases for different departments including sales, marketing and services.
Optimising these experiences for users will be key focuses for Slack in 2022, Templeton said.
βOur job is to keep making our customers successful,β he added.
βWeβre going to put more and more emphasis on delivering the announcements from Dreamforce and delivery deeper capabilities around Slack-first Customer 360.
βHow do we enable sales teams to close deals faster? How can we enable services teams to connect to experts more quickly?
βThatβs going to be my primary focus β bringing greater speed and agility to customers around how they sell, service and market.β
