Unified Communications vendor Swyx (www.swyx.com) has announced the availability of a new macOS client available through the App store. With a growing number of UK businesses choosing to adopt Mac OSX, this provides the channel with an opportunity to target Apple users looking for unified communications.

The new version 1.2.0 now also supports the control keys of Jabra USB and Bluetooth devices and offers additional navigation possibilities with a mouse. Another convenience feature is when a call is forwarded, the caller immediately hears hold music.

In addition, there are numerous possibilities for personalising call signalling. For example, different ringtones can be set for all incoming calls or individual contacts. Users who like to listen to their favourite song when they receive an incoming call will now be able to select ringtones from their own files. An individual ringtone can also be set for each caller group. Furthermore, the new version of the user interface also shows the groups to which a user belongs.

Customers using Swyx through an Apple workstation can now access the optimised version of SwyxDesktop for macOS via the App Store.
