Vonage, one of the leaders in business cloud communications, recently announced that it had launched a new Vonage App Center. The App Center is designed around a flexible microservices architecture that allows for the deployment of business apps within the Vonage Business Cloud. The Business Cloud is Vonage’s cloud-native solution for unified communications.

To strengthen the flexibility and scalability that they have access to in their communication environment, VBC customers can now access the complete Vonage App Center, which includes dozens of add-on features, applications, and productivity tool integrations available with a single click. The single point of access offering from Vonage drives productivity and efficiency, creating better experiences for their customers and end-users.

Vonage officially announced the launch of its new App Center on Wednesday to a wide audience of customers, developers, and partners within the Vonage Campus – a premier user conference for the brand. It was an exciting time to celebrate not just everything that Vonage has achieved so far this year, but also the incredible developments that will be appearing from the company in the months to come.

Introducing the Vonage App Center

Jay Patel, the Chief Product Officer for Vonage, spoke about the transformative new app solution at the event. According to Patel, the company built the Vonage App Center as a dynamic ecosystem of business and CRM applications for the Vonage Business Cloud. By designing the App Center with an easy-to-use infrastructure, Vonage hopes to ensure that partners can easily build and share business applications to a wider customer base. What’s more, developers will be able to easily integrate tools into their applications and VBC accounts.

The Vonage App Center drives even further efficiency for the Vonage consumer base, while also allowing them to access more value and efficiency from the Vonage product offering. The App Center creates more personalised experiences for brands and their end-users according to Jay Patel, by allowing users to build bespoke offerings. Vonage believes that the more custom and unique a communications experience is, the more productive a business can be as a result.

The UCaaS (Unified Communications as a Service) Forrester Wave for the third quarter of 2019 noted that UCaaS application stores from vendors like Vonage are a positive step forward. These tools allow customers to easily implement and discover new applications, while keeping the number of bills to a minimum.

As part of the Vonage Campus event, the brand also revealed some additional treats for customers. For instance, as one component of the launch of the new Vonage APP Center, tools have already been welcomed into the ecosystem. For instance, offerings are available from payment solution company, Authvia, as well as the CRM tool for small businesses, Salesforce Essentials. These popular offerings will add to a growing list of CRM and business applications that will be available from the Vonage App Center. Other offerings include Krisp, Unytalk, G Suite from Google, and even Office 365 from Microsoft.

Brooke Gardner, Head of Partnerships, Essentials at Salesforce, noted that customer relationship management is at the heart of effective communications today. By providing access to Salesforce Essentials through the Vonage App Center, Salesforce hopes to expand the strength and power of employee and customer communications for businesses across the globe.

The Vonage App Center will also provide an immersive selection of highly personalised offerings for customers based on specific user roles and business needs. According to the CEO of Authvia, Chris Brunner, the company is proud to be offering its email, text, and web-based invoicing offerings to Vonage customers as part of the new Vonage App Center experience. The integrated offerings will help to allow for more efficient and conversational commerce transactions. What’s more, the offerings will help to streamline the processes in place for accounts receivable.

The Vonage App Center will allow users to quickly and easily log into individual accounts, browse through a selection of applications, request free trials and more, all without having to use an unfamiliar platform. Patel noted that the online platform for the Vonage end-users is putting the tools that companies need to unlock the true power of VBC back into the hands of those who need it most. Every employee has unique needs to consider, and Vonage App Center helps end-users to get the technology they need when they need it most.
