Leading international technology distributor Westcon-Comstor has continued to demonstrate their commitment to ongoing growth this month. The company, which focuses on delivering solutions for security, productivity and mobility in the modern business world, announced that it has begun a comprehensive strategy for developing new partnerships and capitalising on recent growth.

Westcon believes that the recent Extreme Networks development will give them $3 million in growth potential in the new year, and they want to make the most of this new opportunity with additional investments into training, sales, pre-sales, technical, finance, marketing and services resources. Through the Westcon “Time to Change” team, Westcon will begin to work more directly with partners in helping them to get the most out of their Extreme Network’s engagement and revenue generation plans.

Strengthening the Partner Network

According to Westcon, the new partner strategy will target long-term growth for each partner in their network, helping them to discover a unique approach to revenue generation. Westcon will provide initial technical enablement and sales training as the only Extreme Authorised training partner. This education will be free, and there will be a subsidised learning pathway available too.

Antony Byford, the MD for UK and Ireland at Westcon said that now that the brand has become a “clear number three” in the marketplace, it’s essential to take advantage of this new momentum. Westcon-Comstor believes that Extreme Networks gives their partners opportunities for long-term profit opportunities, and they will be backing Extreme with the Time to Change investment, while simultaneously developing an authorised partner base for ongoing growth.

Byford noted that partners with Weston can expect an unbeatable depth and accessibility of experience and expertise with Extreme Networks from Westcon. Going forward, Westcon-Comstor will be devoted entirely to helping partners get more commercially active and take advantage of the latest programmes in the Extreme environment.

Additional Updates in the Westcon-Comstor Strategy

Vendor Manager for Westcon Extreme Networks, Danny Penny said that the company has been working with Extreme for a while now, and they’ve never seen such a significant demand for responsive partnerships in the channel. This year, Westcon has seen growth at every quarter, and they’ve outperformed their expectations for partnership developments. With Westcon driving enablement for modern partners, it’s now incredibly easy to switch to Extreme Networks.

What’s more, Westcon’s investment in Extreme Networks and partnership solutions isn’t the only big announcement for the company this month. The organisation has also revealed that it is making a $1 million investment into a new Bracknell-based facility for their UK/I business.

An additional example of Westcon’s commitment to growth in the coming year, the new facility, dedicated to cybersecurity and services will offer the latest in security, collaboration and infrastructure solutions for the modern business. The workspace in Bracknell will also give employees the current flexible working environment that they’ve been looking for.

Supporting a Growing Cyber Security Team

According to Westcon-Comstor, the new facility will support and complement the existing Gatwick office, and it will host Westcon’s growing selection of cybersecurity and professional services experts, alongside existing customer service, training, and account teams. The facility will come with dedicated training rooms for people in the Westcon Academy, as well as team collaboration spaces, and fully-functional meeting rooms. Westcon expects the space to host up to 120 mobile and office-based workers.

Commenting on the new facility in a press release, the COO for Westcon International, David Grant noted that the new investment demonstrates that Westcon is committed to their cybersecurity and services business. As Westcon-Comstor continues to develop deeper relationships with their partners, this commitment to cybersecurity growth is sure to play in their favour. Grant said that the facility is “world-class” and will allow Westcon to offer an exceptional level of service to their vendors and customers, as they continue their plans for strategic growth.

Antony Byford also noted that Westcon now has two very well-connected and modern facilities in Bracknell and Gatwick that support the needs of their vendors and customers throughout Ireland and the UK.

A Bright Future for Westcon-Comstor

Westcon-Comstor’s apparent commitment to growth in various areas indicates positive things for the company as we move into the new year. As Westcon continues to invest in their partnerships, integrations with Extreme Networks, and their cybersecurity solutions, they believe that they will continue to grow more competitive.

In the months to come, Westcon will continue to deliver high-productivity solutions to partners and customers throughout the globe, using the latest in industry innovation and technology.
