The integration between Webex and the collaboration solutions company, Bluescape, was announced at Cisco Live 2022.
Hybrid and remote teams can add the Bluescape for Webex app to their current Webex meeting application, gaining access to whiteboarding tools, content sharing, and more.
The CEO of Bluescape, Peter Jackson, said: “The workplace is at a critical moment in time.
“The way we work isn’t going to look like it did before 2020, so remote and hybrid teams need tools that meet their needs.
“That means tools that alleviate stress without compromising quality of work.”
Bluescape says its app enables users to be more productive as teams are able to collaborate asynchronously and in real-time on their projects.
The Bluescape for Webex app gives its users the ability to collaborate more effectively with the use of whiteboarding tools. Ideas can be communicated using sticky notes, drawing and diagramming tools.
Workers will also be able to collaborate asynchronously with remote teams and attach whiteboards to their Webex Meeting apps.
Content such as images, videos, and files can be shared and discussed at any time and from anywhere.
According to a study commissioned by Bluescape, Forrester Consulting determined that using Bluescape decreased project timelines by 20%, reduced the time spent searching for documents by 60%, and users spent 20% less time in meetings.
In order to use the new application, it is necessary to set up a Webex and Bluescape account. It is free to sign up for Bluescape, and you will then be able to choose a workspace to add to Webex Meetings.
Bluescape calls itself a “visual platform for high-value collaboration”. The Silicon Valley-based company aims to connect teams, reduce silos, and increase productivity and innovation. It has Fortune 100, government, higher education, media, and entertainment customers.
Webex by Cisco describes itself as a “leading provider of cloud-based collaboration solutions”. It focuses on collaboration and innovation using AI, Machine Learning, security, and privacy by design which it says will help remove geographical barriers.
