The new update will enable admins who maintain Teams apps from Outlook and Microsoft 365 to be able to manage them all from across the three platforms: Microsoft 365, Teams, and Outlook.
The tech giant revealed its planned release of a unified app manager via its Microsoft 365 roadmap will affect all admins using these platforms.
The post states: “Administrators using the Microsoft 365 Admin Center and Teams Admin Center who manage Teams apps that work on Outlook and the Microsoft 365 App will be able to apply their changes across all three clients (Teams, Outlook, and Microsoft 365 App).
“Before this update, changes made through the Integrated Apps section in the Microsoft 365 admin centre would only affect these apps on Outlook and the Microsoft 365 App; similarly, changes made in the Teams admin centre would exclusively affect Teams.
With this change, management of these apps will be unified across Teams, Outlook and Microsoft 365 App.”
Windows Report, an online publication that mainly covers Microsoft’s Windows platform, pointed out that the Microsoft 365 admin centre previously had bizarre issues affecting its users worldwide, including a bug that made the Microsoft 365 Admin Center Tab appear in Croatian when it was accessed.
Nevertheless, there are also plans to update the 365 Admin Center to support organisation messages that will allow managers to edit and schedule their messages on Windows 11.
These will be added to the Reports section of the 365 Admin Center. Admins and managers will gain various features and capabilities, enabling them to create messages, view delivery reports, and more.
More from Microsoft
Windows Report has brought other Microsoft stories to light recently, including the news that Microsoft Teams on Android users will be able to join Zoom meetings as early as June 2024.
According to Windows Report, an online publication that mainly covers Microsoft’s Windows platform, the new capability will make it easier for companies using multiple platforms to initiate cross-platform video calls.
By working together, these two titans of the video conferencing world can improve the user experience for Microsoft and Zoom customers.
This capability has been in the pipeline for some time. In June 2022, Microsoft introduced the capability that Direct Guest Join would bring Microsoft Teams Rooms to Android users.
The Windows-focussed news provider also publicised Microsoft’s plans to convert content from online meetings and group chats into background sounds.
It may sound bizarre, but Microsoft has published a patent for precisely that, according to Windows Report, an online publication that mainly covers Microsoft’s Windows platform.
The thinking is that bringing the conversation off the page and into a worker’s auditory realm will create a more immersive environment, leading to an increase in engagement.
Certainly, the world has come to accept bigger changes in the past, but it remains to be seen whether this idea catches on.
