Snom Technology is expanding beyond IP telephony with the launch of the V420 4K video conferencing camera. Designed for hybrid work, the V420 delivers high-quality video, clear audio, and easy setup.

The camera provides 4K video and precise audio capture for home offices, small meeting rooms, and livestreams.

“With the V420, we’re closing a gap in professional business communication,” said Felix Glowatzka, Project Manager at Snom.

“While the market is flooded with consumer webcams, we’re delivering a solution that combines uncompromising image and sound quality with instant usability and sustainable design, exactly what companies need today.

“For us, the V420 is not just a new product, but the next step toward a comprehensive portfolio for the hybrid working world. We’re giving our customers exactly what they need: technology that makes their professionalism visible and their collaboration future-proof.”

V420 Camera Specs

The V420 uses a high-resolution CMOS sensor to capture sharp images with vibrant colours. Automatic exposure adjustment increases brightness by up to 50 percent and reduces shadows. This ensures participants are well lit even in challenging lighting conditions.

The camera’s field of view spans up to 120°. Users can adjust it manually or use three preset levels. This makes it suitable for one-on-one calls as well as group meetings.

Audio comes from three integrated microphones – two omnidirectional and one unidirectional – covering a frequency range of 20 Hz to 10 kHz with a sensitivity of –38 dB. Beamforming technology focuses on voices while reducing background noise. It works effectively up to five metres.

The V420 can be paired with the Snom C300 speakerphone to create a complete video conferencing solution for small meeting rooms. This setup delivers professional audio and video in a compact, easy-to-deploy format.

The camera supports USB-C plug-and-play or connection through the Snom Connect Desktop App for Windows PCs. A flexible mount allows secure attachment to monitors or screens without complicated installation.

Headsets: A350M and A170C

Supporting the V420, Snom has introduced two headsets.

The A350M is the company’s first Bluetooth headset. It offers a wireless range of up to 30 metres and talk time of around 32 hours. It can connect to two devices at once and features HD audio adjustable via the Snom Connect app. An integrated busy light signals availability. A USB-C port enables faster charging.

The A170C refreshes Snom’s previous A170 DECT headset. It has improved battery life and USB-C charging. The design remains familiar but includes incremental performance upgrades. Both headsets are designed for long working days, prioritising comfort and ergonomics.

Implications for Professionals

By leading with the V420, Snom offers businesses a reliable option for hybrid communication. IT managers, office planners, and procurement teams can deploy the camera quickly, knowing it works with major conferencing platforms.

Together with the headsets, Snom now provides a modular ecosystem for hybrid work. These professional-grade audio and video solutions improve meeting quality, support remote collaboration, and offer a clear upgrade over consumer webcams and headsets.

The V420 also suits small, flexible meeting room setups. Organisations can deploy it easily across different layouts and team sizes.

Snom’s combination of the V420 camera with the A350M and A170C headsets creates a complete suite for hybrid work. It provides high-quality, sustainable, and user-friendly solutions for offices and home environments.
