RingCentral has launched its video and rooms offering in Australia.

The firm has also announced that it has established a datacentre in the region to cater to businesses that require Australian data sovereignty.

Peter Hughes, Regional Vice President of APAC Sales at RingCentral, said: “At RingCentral, we are focused on enabling organisations to modernise their business communications by moving to the cloud and allowing their people to be productive from anywhere.

“With the announcement of RingCentral Video and RingCentral Rooms, we are bringing a more enhanced and collaborative experience with greater security and accessibility for all people – both internal and external to the organisation, wherever they are working – be that at home, in the office, or on-the-go”

The Australian launch of RingCentral Video comes after the offering was launched in Europe last September.

The datacentre, meanwhile, is provided by Amazon Web Services and has various ISO certifications. RingCentral’s contact centre offering is also hosted locally.

RingCentral has also announced that Poly’s Studio X30 and X50 devices are certified for RingCentral Rooms in the region.

The vendor said that the Rooms offering was built in partnership with Poly to help remove the amount of hardware needed in conference spaces.
