net2phone will bolster its partner ecosystem after launching into the CCaaS space, according to Director of Partner Development, Brian Holldorf.

The firm acquired Uruguay-based Integra CCS back in March, adding a CX play to its existing UCaaS credentials. It has since launched its cloud & omnichannel CCaaS solution, uContact.

Speaking to UC Today, Holldorf said there will now be opportunities to increase both the business done through existing partners and bring on new partners.

“We’re really looking at both,” he said. “We want to go backward and forwards.

“I think we’re going to attract a whole set of new partners, which is a huge opportunity for net2phone, but it will also bring our existing partners even tighter into the fold.

“The exciting part is that this is going to create a whole channel of new conversations.”

This new channel of conversations will involve both new and old partners. The opportunity for existing partners is that they can upsell UC customers to the contact center platform. net2phone has made this easy through flexibility with uContact. Customers can add the contact center offering to individual users as they see fit, ensuring a smooth transition.

In tandem, is a desire to engage with partners that net2phone has not worked with before. Part of this will be speaking to contact center specialists, but another significant component will be to drive awareness among IT resellers and managed service providers.

net2phone has typically worked with traditional comms-focused partners and agents. Still, Holldorf said there is an increasing opportunity to start working with the IT channel – particularly as the line between communications and IT continues to blur.

Perhaps the biggest opportunity, he said, is around Microsoft partners that are used to selling desktop solutions such as Microsoft 365 and cybersecurity but haven’t typically sold voice. This market is booming as companies look to bring voice into Microsoft Teams – something net2phone can do with its UC platform.

“There’s a whole network of Microsoft partners out there that is an untapped market,” he said.

“We can encourage them not just to sell Microsoft licenses but to sell complementary services as well.

“We are looking for these relationships because MSPs want to own the desktop and support customers 100 percent.”

net2phone is early on in this process, but plans to drive channel growth through its key master agent partners.

The firm is currently skilling up its master agents in the new offering, with these partners crucial in building out a wider channel.

“We are going to our master and regional master relationships and promoting it vigorously,” he said. “We also have a team of channel managers that are delivering capabilities to the partners in their markets.

“Then we have digital marketing, and we’ll be conducting routine webinars around uContact.”
