The Norwegian construction company Backe has deployed Neat devices for greater simplicity, flexibility, and productivity in meetings.
It has added Neat Board, Neat Bar, Neat Bar Pro, Neat Pad on Microsoft Teams, and Neat Pulse to manage all of its devices.
Backe is using Neat video conferencing technologies to enhance communication and collaboration between its headquarters in Oslo, 16 offices, 70 to 90 building sites, customers, and suppliers.
Gunilla Stussi, Head of IT, Backe, commented on the new Neat devices: “Hanne and I are tech nerds. Technology is what we live and breathe. We immediately loved Neat when Adio introduced us to the devices.”
“They looked good and had all the right functionalities. We like counting how many people use a room and the transcription in Teams.”
“We’re also excited about Copilot for Teams. The Pulse dashboard is perfect for maintenance, too. Neat is the whole package. It grows on people.”
Stussi continued:
The moment we laid our hands on the Neat equipment, we said, ‘OK, this is high-end stuff.’”
“Also, as a construction company, we are in the people business. We need and like partnering with passionate people who love their work so that we can keep delivering outstanding results ourselves.”
Before and After
At its old office, Backe previously used a combination of video conferencing solutions from Cisco, Crestron, and Logitech. Aside from some of the peripherals, these were still in working order.
The move to new offices prompted the meeting technology upgrade, which reportedly had two main requirements. First, it wanted to find an environmentally friendly solution, and second, it was looking for flexible solutions for greater meeting room freedom.
Backe turned to the Norwegian technology supplier Adio AS to help it find the right vendor, which led to the recommendation of Neat.
After adding Neat boards to its new Lysaker offices, it also added Neat Bars, Neat Bar Pros, and Neat Pads.
In a related Neat blog post, Backe’s employees in Oslo describe “loving the devices” and their capabilities. The post also discusses enhanced meeting equity through Neat Symmetry, which focuses on all participants no matter how far away they are from the front-of-room device.
Neat Pulse allows Backe to choose which application to run and comprehensive deployment controls.
Meanwhile, Neat Board 5O can house multiple apps and includes the potential for whiteboarding, making it ideal for collaboration.
Finally, Neat Sense provides Backe with an advanced set of smart room sensors, which allows the company to continually manage and monitor the number of people in the room, air quality, humidity, CO2, and more.
Hanne Granum, IT Solutions Manager, Backe, outlined some of the features he liked about Neat and its solutions: “Neat Pulse is great and one of the primary reasons we love Neat.”
“We can roll out Neat devices throughout the entire organisation while having complete remote control over all our meeting rooms from here in Oslo. It makes our jobs as IT specialists much easier.”
“You have to choose Neat because it’s the best. It’s a Norwegian company that creates high-quality products. The audiovisuals are great, and so is Neat Pulse.”
We’re looking forward to seeing what comes next, as we believe Neat is way ahead in video innovation.”
Earlier this month at Infocomm 2024, Neat introduced new AI audio capabilities to the Neat Center and added support for hearing augmentation systems.
In April, Neat partnered with Shure to improve audio-visual user experiences by enabling the seamless integration between the Neat Bar Pro and various Shure Microflex Ecosystem solutions.
