As a global leader in enterprise control and automation technology for almost half a century, Crestron were better placed than many to respond to the challenges of the past 15 months, and provide innovative technological solutions to global collaboration and productivity problems.

For EMEA customers an event this month will lead with a virtual tour through the newly upgraded Experience Space in London — presented by The Gadget Show’s Jason Bradbury, and featuring Annbritt Steen Andersen, Microsoft’s EMEA DPSS Regional Director for Teams and Devices, and Stijn Ooms, Director Product Strategy AV & Digital Workplace at Crestron.

And just like the future of work, the future of events is hybrid in 2021 — and there are private sessions available in 6 locations which can be pre-booked here. But the digital aspect of the event will widen access to all comers, and offer powerful insight into Crestron’s four platforms.

Crestron Flex

Best known to readers of UC Today is of course Crestron Flex — designed to support customers wherever they are working, and ensuring a consistent experience across all spaces from the home office through the huddle room to the boardroom and beyond.

During the changing demands of the health crisis, Crestron have expanded the range to include shipping one of the first Microsoft Teams scheduling panels, in time to help customers manage the safe and accessible return to the shared office, and expanded Zoom Rooms to include native room controls.

With a complete line of Flex phones for Microsoft Teams, users are easily provided with the right desktop companion device for a professional audio and video experience, cloud-based and managed for deployment at scale.

But attendees at Experience Crestron will also learn about other platforms offered and how the full suite of products and services complement each other to support customers — including the cloud-based platform Crestron XiO Cloud, which makes it easy to manage workplace technologies for distributed teams, reflecting the way we work today and the environments that IT directors are now having to supervise effectively. As PR Manager Miek Hubert explains: “Delivering technology as a service in this way enables responsive and resilient provision when the future feels uncertain and provides the right combination of efficiency and peace of mind for all users”.

Connected homes, offices, and lives

Crestron Home is another core aspect of technology that has changed rapidly in recent years, responding to demanding customer expectations to transform the way we use technology domestically. With the ability to support customers at all levels of need from full on-site deployment to empowering end user customisation, Crestron Home is one of the most open smart home platforms in the industry, natively integrating with Delos, Lutron, Josh.ai, Amazon Alexa, and many more, and the Extension SDK unlocks even more possibilities.

Indeed, Hubert pointed out:

As hybrid work becomes more pervasive, it is those technologies that cross over seamlessly from the office into the home that will enable individual productivity. Our platforms are demonstrating the potential and the value of this crossover today — and laying the foundations for the flexible live and work spaces of the future”

With Crestron’s original specialism in AV combined with workplace and home technologies, they are uniquely positioned to support the blended and hybrid collaborative spaces we all anticipate.

You can get your own glimpse of this future at Crestron Experience, by registering here for the live event on June 24th.
