Ooma, the company dedicated to creating smart communications solutions for businesses and end-users, recently announced a new arrival. The Ooma Meetings video solution for video collaboration is now available through the Ooma Office Pro package for business communications.

Ooma Office Pro users will be able to join and create meetings with the Ooma Office app, which transforms computers into fully-featured softphones. The Ooma Meetings solution will also be available as a mobile client for Android and iOS tablets and smartphones.

Unlike most video conferencing systems, Ooma Meetings makes it quick and simple for multiple users to share screens simultaneously. One user can share a spreadsheet while another shares a presentation slide and a third shares a document. Participants can click on any shared screen to view it full-sized in the main window.

No Software Installation Required

Ooma Meetings doesn’t require any software installation either. On laptop and desktop computers, you can run your video meetings directly in Safari, Chrome, or Edge browsers. Users just need to click a link to join, and there’s browser plugin or installation required. This eliminates the headaches for companies trying to get customers and partners involved in meetings when they don’t want to install new software. Users can also dial into meetings via phone.

Simple and straightforward, the Ooma Meetings interface ensures an intuitive collaboration experience, with additional features like chat, host muting, one-time and recurring meetings, “Meet now” functions, and personal meeting IDs. You can also apply passwords to meetings that must remain private.

According to the VP of Product Management at Ooma, Dennis Peng, more than ever, businesses need access to powerful tools for communication, like video conferencing, and screensharing. Team leaders need to support workers in a remote landscape and provide team members with a real sense of connection to customers, colleagues, and partners. Peng went on to say that Ooma Meetings empowers companies with the tools they need to thrive in the new work from anywhere space.

Ooma Video Meetings is Available Now

Ooma Meetings is now available to users of Ooma Office Pro with no extra fee required. The monthly fee for your full Ooma Office Pro experience will remain at a straightforward $24.95 per user, plus extra fees, and taxes. There’s no contract required, and the meeting solution supports up to 25 users joining video meetings that can last up to 2 hours.

Ooma Office Pro users can currently activate Ooma Meetings by asking an admin follow the instructions available on the Ooma website.
