RingCentral Launches Raft of Hybrid Meeting Updates

RingCentral has revealed a number of enhancements to its RingCentral Rooms offering.

The features include voice-activated controls, enabling users to start meetings without pushing a button, and the ability to control meetings from a mobile device.

Users will be able to start meetings by saying “Hi RingCentral, join my meeting” in any conference room that users RingCentral Rooms, while the use of mobile devices to control meetings makes it easier for participants to adhere to social distancing guidelines.

Other updates include:

  • Rooms monitoring: Users can now track and monitor their RingCentral Rooms devices in real-time, gaining visibility into device history and un-provisioned devices.
  • Rooms status and alerts: IT Admins can receive real-time, proactive alerts about the status of devices and integrations in any particular meeting room and remedy any issues before the meeting occurs.
  • Windows for RingCentral Rooms: RingCentral Rooms now supports Windows-based host appliances, in addition to Android and Mac appliances.

RingCentral also announced a partnership with Logitech that will see the latter’s Rally family of devices support RingCentral Rooms.

RingCentral’s last sizeable batch of updates came back in April.
