The Sennheiser SP 20 ML is the German multi-national’s latest portable speakerphone designed to improve conference calling, provide greater mobility to users and nurture collaboration both in and out of the workplace.

As the brand’s latest portable speakerphone for personal use and small conferences, Sennheiser claim the SP 20 ML offers unparalleled support for collaborative working environments with a UC network and takes small conferencing to a whole new level – but how much truth is there in these claims?

In order to find out, we’ve decided to do a review on the product and test how well it lives up to Sennheiser’s sterling reputation as one of the world’s leading producers of high quality audio equipment.

At first glance, you’d quite easily be forgiven for mistaking the SP 20 ML for a miniature model of the Star Trek Enterprise – but that’s not necessarily a bad thing! With its sleek, disc-shaped design and elegant metallic casing, the SP 20 ML acts as a fitting centrepiece for any desktop and definitely grabs your attention.

What can it do?

Sennheiser is well known around the world by consumers and businesses alike for its exceptional sound quality and the SP 20 ML certainly doesn’t fail to deliver. When making to a call through this machine you can immediately tell the difference between Sennheiser and non-Sennheiser audio and, for such a small speakerphone, it really does make a huge difference.

Also featuring echo-cancelling technology, the SP 20 ML allows users to engage in calls through the speakerphone without feedback disturbances making every call crisp and clear in quality.

What did we like most?

Though we admired many of the SP 20 ML’s features, what really stood out for us was the compact design and quick integration with multiple devices and the way in which it enables users to engage quickly in conference calls/speakerphone calls from any location of their choosing.

Who is it for?

Any business looking to enhance the mobility of its agents and enable them to take the conferencing features offered by their UC out on the road with them would benefit from the SP 20 ML.

UC Today Opinion

For such a small device, the SP 20 ML has many uses and its superior sound quality is testament to the solid reputation Sennhaiser has accrued from decades of delivering market leading audio solutions at both consumer and business level. Truly a worthy investment for the future.
