Simpplr Rivals Zoom Workvivo With Meta Workplace Migration Program
Simpplr has launched a Workplace by Meta migration programme to rival Workvivo By Zoom, which was selected as Meta’s preferred migration partner.
In May, Meta announced it was shuttering its enterprise communications business, Workplace, while recommending customers migrate to Workvivo By Zoom.
Now, Simpplr, the communications and employee engagement platform, has developed a Workplace by Meta migration programme for a “reliable and stress-free transition.” Simpplr says it understands the pivotal role of communication in an organisation’s success and is dedicated to assisting customers in making choices that align with their objectives.
“As the only venture-backed EX platform company, relentless innovation and simplicity drive Simpplr’s mission to transform the work experience on a large scale,” said Dhiraj Sharma, Founder and CEO of Simpplr.
Simpplr has become synonymous with innovation and excellence in the intranet space. Recognized consistently by analysts like Gartner and Forrester for our innovation and excellence, and with a proven track record of zero failed implementations, we are uniquely positioned to support our customers’ success now and in the future.”
As a special incentive, Simpplr is offering a six-month complimentary service for customers who transition to their platform by October 31, 2024.
NVIDIA Surpasses Microsoft As Most Valuable Company Amid AI Boom
NVIDIA has surpassed Microsoft as the world’s most valuable company thanks to its dominance in the AI boom.
Less than two weeks after displacing Apple for second place in the business world’s answer to sports MVP, the GPU and semiconductor company NVIDIA has now taken the top spot in its overall valuation thanks to its powerhouse position as an AI chip producer, reportedly representing 80 percent of the processor market.
At the close of trading on Tuesday, NVIDIA’s closing share price was $135.58, marking a $4.60 increase from the previous day. Its market value has soared to $3.335 trillion, which means it’s now worth more than the most prominent tech colossi like Microsoft, Apple, and Google.
Since the start of the year, the value of the company’s shares has shot up by an impressive 160 percent. It had only reached a value of $2 trillion for the first time in February.
NVIDIA reported over $26 billion in revenue in its most recent earnings call ahead of the arrival of its highly anticipated Blackwell GPU architecture, which the company has hyped up as “the world’s most powerful chip”.
Microsoft To Introduce AI-Optimised Avatars To Mesh For Teams
Microsoft has announced that it is introducing AI-optimised avatars to its extended reality meeting solution, Mesh for Teams.
Also announced as part of AWE 2024 were wardrobe and emote options, tailored space for workshops, and general availability for Mac access.
Avery Salumbides, Product Marketing Manager at Microsoft, wrote in an accompanying blog post:
In January, we announced the general availability of Mesh in Teams. We launched with the promise of unlocking deeper engagement for hybrid and remote teams across the world. Today, we’re thrilled to unveil our latest advancements designed to optimize the avatar creation process with the help of AI and enrich your virtual collaboration.”
AI-enabled avatar creation entails users submitting a photo of themselves. AI algorithms analyse the visual features to predict the best matches for a user’s face shape, hair, eyewear, and facial hair. These best matches are fused to produce three avatar options for a user.
In the public preview this month, users can take or upload a photo of themselves, and Microsoft’s AI-enabled technology will generate an avatar that represents them.
