I caught up with Paul Smissaert, Soluno’s Managing Director based in the Netherlands. He told me a lot during our interview, including Soluno’s vision for the future of work and how they’ve transformed the business comms market in the Netherlands. Through a strategic partnership with T-Mobile, the Swedish company provides a cloud-based mobile-first proposition for T-Mobile customers in Holland to meet the demands for ‘hassle-free business communications needs’ as he put it.

Smissaert expanded, stating, Soluno thinks Digital Transformation should be a ‘hassle-free’ experience for customers who need to get mobile sales teams, mobile employees, and hybrid workers up-and-running. Through Soluno, customers can even manage calls – all at a fixed cost.

“We want to make it easy for T-mobile customers to activate new lines, as well as manage features like call routing, queuing, and billing”

Enabling a Mobile Workforce

Soluno doesn’t stop at offering simple activation, the ability to manage calls, and billing all for a fixed price – they take it a step further. To connect a growing mobile workforce, Soluno lets customers perform one-click activations for its mobile proposition. They also cater to industry needs such as insurance, sales, and mobile contact center agents, meeting customer-specific requirements.

Smissaert believes this creates a ‘hassle-free’ customer journey and turns Digital Transformation into something valuable for customers. According to him “If customers want to do business, they expect seamless migration because our system is cloud-based. We use the flexibility and agility of the cloud to make this experience simple for customers. If it is not, it is not worth it for them.”

Tackling Security in a Mobile World

Through a unique integration with Microsoft Teams, Soluno’s done something brilliant for mobile security in the mobile age. They’ve managed to find a way to enable enterprise customers to access telephony on any device.

This does, however, present countless security issues. For one, how does its system know it is you trying to enter your account? Smissaert shared, end-users’ mobile devices act as a security identifier. If the device is not close to your computer, the two disconnect once users step away from their workspace. He further shared, this was a challenge, but one they were glad to take on.

The Unlimited Workspace

Smissthere also mentioned what they see as the third element of Digital Transformation, and that’s setting yourself apart by offering a digital workspace. Leveraging the strength of Microsoft Teams, Soluno extends the use of a fully-integrated Teams experience along with unlimited mobile data and unlimited voice.

“Instead of selling features, we’re selling a future-proof solution that will grow with organizations“

And it is just this kind of thinking that will keep Soluno on the edge of innovation in the enterprise mobile field for a long time. The amount of agility and flexibility Soluno extends to service providers and resellers is also unmatched because they offer a solution that could essentially sell itself thanks to the methodical nature of its meticulously planned out functionalities.
