With their recent expansion of international coverage, West brings the use of Cloud-based local and toll-free numbers to more than 160 countries. According to a statement, ‘no other company offers this amount of international inbound and toll-free numbers.’ Chris Malinowski, President of West Telecom Services said:

“We’re thrilled to announce this milestone and our growing international presence. For global enterprises, communications have no borders. The ability to connect and collaborate with colleagues, partners, and customers on an international level is imperative. The roll-out of our international phone numbers provides customers with broader coverage in international markets.”

A Game-Changer for Unified Communications

Those in the UCaaS, CPaaS, and SaaS industries all stand to gain a lot from Wests’ new capabilities. For starters, users can upscale call/contact center solutions without incurring excessive expenses. Furthermore, the Cloud-based communications platform enables service providers, value-added resellers, and enterprises to migrate from dated premises-based systems to VoIP and customize their solution as they see fit.

International call and contact centers can leverage Flowroute’s Cloud-based suite of toll-free and local numbers with little-to-no provisioning of telephone numbers. Likely the biggest benefit of Wests’ clever use of Flowroute is the level of on-demand scalability users have access to. When call volume increases for call and contact centers, adding extra lines is simple, and happens within a matter of seconds through a self-service portal, ensuring quality customer experience (CX) is mantained.

West Corp to Intensify Global UCaaS Influence

West Corporation is over thirty-years-old and is a global leader in workplace communication. In more recent years, they’ve gone on a shopping spree of sorts, acquiring several companies that keep West UC solutions unique.

As the UC craze continues, many former legacy providers didn’t make it long enough to see the success of UC. Those that remain in the game found one or several ways to differentiate offerings. West Corporation showed its intention of staying among the global leaders in the UC space when it acquired Flowroute last year.

Sascha Mehlhase, Senior Director of Product Management at West Corporation, shared:

“Flowroute was the first software-centric carrier. As such, it made a big splash in the U.S. market. We caught the attention of West Corporation, leading to our acquisition”

“Now, we power West Telecom Services and the rest of its software-centric telecom solutions. We also enable automation and self-service for West’s customers.”

The division of West Corporation known as West UC will benefit a great deal from the acquisition. Customers can now automate manual processes like provisioning, saving valuable time. West Corporation is on a mission to further dominate UC and is well on its way to victory.

Cloud contact centers have plenty of tools to succeed, especially ones that make the process of getting started simpler than ever before. Flowroute’s platform is one of the biggest enablers of such conveniences that I’ve seen in a while, making West and Flowroute a dangerous duo for the competition.
