The Sennheiser MB 660 UC MS is the German multi-national’s latest wireless, adaptive ANC headset certified by Skype for Business and designed to help improve the communications of knowledge workers demanding business grade-communication.

As the brands latest offering in its MB headset series, Sennheiser claim their new business-grade communication device provides premium sound quality with hybrid NoiseGard technology to help users engage in clear conversation in a number of different environments – but does it live up to the hype?

In order to find out, we’ve decided to do a review on the product and test how well it lives up to Sennheiser’s sterling reputation as one of the world’s leading producers of high quality audio equipment.

How does it look?

The first thing we noticed about the MB 660 was its huge earpads that are luxuriously covered in plush leatherette casings that deliver maximum style and comfort with thick padding that covers the ear entirely to help block out external sounds.

Built for mobility, the MB 660 features a foldable, compact design and also comes with a zip-up, hard shell travel case that users can take with them wherever they go.

What can it do?

Featuring Sennheiser’s Noisegard hybrid adaptive ANC technology, the MB 660 are able to monitor the agents background environment for noise and seamlessly adjusts the noise reduction levels of the headset to deliver impeccable audio quality during every call. Whether you’re sat on a train, in a park, at home or on the morning commute, the MB 660 turns every space into a tranquil working environment where you can focus on getting the job done.

As a UC certified business-grade communication device, the MB 660 offers enterprise level communication and enables users to engage in important business calls in any location without having to sacrifice call quality. With this certification, it’s clear to us that the MB 660 is the perfect solution for travelling CEOs looking for a headset that allows them to perform at elite level whilst out on the road.

Everyone has a different interpretation of what defines good sound quality, and with the Sennheiser Signature Sound feature, MB 660 users are free to choose between a wide variety of different sound effects modes for speech, music and entertainment. With stereo audio and CD quality streaming with aptX, it’s clear that the MB 660 is so much more than a standard headset.

As well as this, the MB 660 features Sennheiser’s unique SpeakFocus technology with three digital microphones configured to deliver crystal clear sound on a constant basis, while the built-in WindSafe technology works to cancel out the sound of the earth’s tempestuous elements to deliver ultimate clarity from any location during every call.

With the MB 660, users can connect the headphone to their communication device through both a wired connection (cable included in purchase) or wirelessly through Bluetooth and talk for as long as 30 hours per single charge.

What did we like the most?

Though there are many things we like about the MB 660, we’d probably have to say the Sennheiser Noiseguard feature that intelligently analyses and filters out exterior sound is the thing that impressed us the most. Ideal for maintaining professionalism during calls whilst travelling outside of the office and it really does make a noticeable difference to the quality of the call.

Who is it for?

We have no doubt that this is a top-end headset designed for business level users and is not something you would likely see agents on a busy contact centre floor wearing. Luxurious design, cutting edge audio features and a sound quality so detailed it can even be used for listening to music or watching movies.

UC Today Opinion

For the travelling businessperson on the go who want a device that enables them to take their office luxuries with them on the road during every call, the   is the perfect choice. Definitely not one for the end-user but meets the need of its targeted market perfectly.

Do you own a pair of the Sennheiser MB 660s? Do you feel they live up to the hype? How much did they improve your UC experience? We’d love to hear what you have to say so If you have any thoughts or opinions you’d like to share, please feel free to submit them to our comments section below.
