Judges Announced for Crestron Integration Awards 2019

The Crestron EMEA Integration Awards is returning for its twelfth year, with 15 categories covering both residential and commercial applications of Crestron technology. Applications for the annual competition are now open, and integrators, service providers and consultants within the EMEA region are all eligible to enter.  The awards are a fantastic way to recognise outstanding projects, that demonstrate a high standard of excellence and innovation in the design and installation of Crestron solutions.  Winners will be announced in February 2019 during ISE in Amsterdam, the world’s largest AV show. The winners reveal, which takes place on the Crestron booth, has become one of the go-to events of the show.

Crestron has always secured a prestigious line up of judges and this year is no different:

Owen Ellis
Owen Ellis

Owen Ellis, Chairman of the AV User Group: Owen is an influential figure in the AV industry. He became a member of the AV User Group in 2004 whilst in his global Multimedia role at Morgan Stanley investment bank and took up the position of Chairman of the Group in 2010. Since then Owen has overseen the extension of the Group, which now operates in New York and Hong Kong. His 30-year strong background in AV means that Owen will be instrumental in judging the entries this year.

Owen Ellis, Chairman of the AV User Group explains what he will be looking for this year,

‘As an end user of over 17 years I will not just be looking for innovative use of Crestron technologies, but projects that met the client requirements and preferably exceeded their expectations and either enhanced their overall user experience or provided other unexpected benefits.’

Rob Scott, Founder and Publisher at UC Today:  Rob is the founder of UC Today, an online publisher of the latest news, reviews and opinion for the Unified Communications and Collaboration industry. As a professional in the premium property and design field, Zoe will be looking for projects that showcase state-of-the-art smart technology.

Karen Stylianides, Editor at Grand Designs magazine: Karen is an editor with more than 20 years’ experience in the interiors, renovation and home improvement sector. She became editor of Grand Designs magazine just over a year ago, having previously been deputy editor at House Beautiful for ten years. Karen will be looking for outstanding projects that effectively and seamlessly integrate technology with good design.
