Major News From A Momentous ISE 2025

It’s been another significant ISE this year, with the 2025 events season well underway, with announcements including:

HP unveiled the Poly Studio V12 video bar will join its comprehensive lineup of next-generation video conferencing solutions to explain how teams connect and collaborate, including the X-Series all-in-one video bars, V-Series premium USB video bars, G-Series modular solutions, and the E360, which were announced over the past year to deliver more immersive meeting experiences.

ViewSonic announced what it describes as the “world’s first” rack-mount all-in-one control box. ViewSonic says the LD-SCB-023 optimises energy efficiency and streamlines operation by seamlessly integrating power and control systems.

Crestron has joined Microsoft’s Device Ecosystem Platform (MDEP) for seamless interoperability and collaboration. Built on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP), MDEP is pitched as an open platform designed for device manufacturers and software developers to create innovative, user-centric solutions. Microsoft says it offers exclusive features specifically designed for MDEP-based devices.

Comeen has announced a partnership with Google Workspace, enabling integration of its digital signage and meeting room communication tools with Google Meet hardware. With just a single click via the Google Admin console, Comeen can be deployed on Google Meet hardware devices. This allows organisations to enhance connectivity and create a more interactive and efficient office environment.

Jabra also launched what it dubs the ‘First 180° Android Video Bar’ for Small Rooms, the PanaCast 40 VBS. Building on the PanaCast 50 VBS, this compact solution enables full-room visibility with dual cameras and advanced stitching technology, making every participant clearly visible.

There were also major announcements from Barco, Clear-Com, Kramer, Sennheiser and more.

CallTower and Five9 Partner to Unify CCaaS and UCaaS Solutions for Customers

CallTower has partnered with Five9 to integrate its Operator Connect for Microsoft Teams with Five9’s cloud-based contact centre platform. This collaboration delivers a seamless, all-in-one communication solution with bi-directional presence, real-time collaboration, and unified reporting.

CallTower’s Operator Connect, launched in EMEA in early 2024, embeds PSTN voice access into Teams, simplifying network integration and user management. Five9’s AI-powered CCaaS platform supports omnichannel customer engagement across voice, email, SMS, chat, and video.

This partnership enables CallTower customers to leverage Five9’s advanced contact centre capabilities alongside its Teams integration, enhancing efficiency, customer service, and overall communication.

“By combining our Operator Connect solution with Five9’s intelligent CX platform, we’re providing businesses with the tools they need to enhance both customer and employee experiences in meaningful ways,” said Doug Larsen, CallTower Senior Vice President of Product and Software Development.

TeamViewer Integrates Google Meet to Reduce Barriers in Remote Support

TeamViewer has integrated its remote support capabilities directly into Google Meet, enhancing collaboration and streamlining IT troubleshooting. This integration allows businesses and IT teams to resolve technical issues within Google Meet without requiring additional software installations or switching between applications.

As part of Google Workspace, Google Meet is a widely adopted workplace communication tool. It serves businesses of all sizes and boasts 300 million monthly users. One of its key advantages is its entirely browser-based functionality, eliminating the need for complex setups—an ideal solution for teams with limited technical expertise.

However, requiring Google Workspace users to download separate video software for IT support could create friction. By embedding its remote support tools directly into Google Meet, TeamViewer is meeting users where they already work, reinforcing its commitment to seamless, user-friendly IT management.

Stefan Prestele, Senior Vice President of Strategic Alliances at TeamViewer, said:

Businesses depend on Google Meet for communication, but technical disruptions can impact productivity. By integrating TeamViewer’s remote access capabilities, we empower teams with instant IT support during meetings, ensuring seamless collaboration and faster issue resolution.”
